Kanske är jag ute i sista rycket men det är inte så ovanligt när det gäller mig, kanske är vi fler som planterar tulpaner nu?
Har beställt massor av tulpanlökar, lite som karamellaffär det där när man är igång, det är svårt att hålla händerna borta. Förr hade jag inte så stort ha-begär efter blomster i rabatten men nuförtiden känner jag att jag blir glad bara av tänka på tulpaner som blommar under våren.
Har tänkt att plantera tulpaner på två ställen, det ena är framför odlingstunneln i två avlånga odlingslådor som jag brukar kalla för tangorabatten. Här brukar det på sommaren vara en färgsprakande rabatt av dahlior, zinnior och rosenskära. Nu hoppas jag på en härlig tidig blomning i april-maj med en blandad färgskala på tulpanerna.
Sedan tänkte jag plantera tulpaner i mina stora ekfat som jag har på altanen. 3 stora ekfat med massor av tulpaner i guldocra och rosa! Två tulpanfärger som ska påminna om smörkola och hallongodis mot mitt svarta hus. Borde bli bra!
Tulpanlökarna gräver jag ner och avståndet är normalt mellan 10-12 cm och gärna ojämnt antal. I ekfaten blir det nog lite tätare tänker jag och hoppas på fröjdefull prakt!
Innan jag gräver ner tulpanlökarna häller jag på lite benmjöl som jag myllar ner samtidigt som jag planterar lökarna. Benmjöl är rikt på kväve och fosfor, värdefullt som långtidsverkande gödningsmedel och ger förhoppningsvis fina blommor. För några veckor sedan grävde jag ner bokashi i ekfaten för att ge näringsfull jord till dem så behövde jag inte tömma och fylla på med ny jord.
